The Hobart Jazz Club was originally formed in the mid 1950’s by a small group of Jazz enthusiasts to promote local jazz musicians and to import mainland bands.
In 1961, it was incorporated as the “Jazz Action Society of Tasmania”
and then later returned to its former name, “Hobart Jazz Club”, in 2004.
A bi-monthly newsletter keeps members informed of what is happening around the state.
