Nature has had millions of years to fine tune the process of designing sustainable systems. We can start to do the same by designing our food gardens, farms and communities using ecological science and permaculture design to tap into nature’s wisdom.
Healthy natural ecosystems, from rainforests to desert scrublands, don’t need anyone to spread mulch, fertilisers, or control pests, to weed or mow. They take care of these things themselves. This sort of self-management is what we gain from working with nature.
We work with people with all levels of experience, translating ecological science into simple innovative tools for working with nature. We run hands-on, down-to-earth courses creating edible landscapes together with courses where participants are part of a learning community, exploring permaculture design and other innovative tools to create resilient futures.
