We have over 15 years of experience and knowledge within the alternate health industry and are dedicated to improving the health and wellness of the community through natural therapies.

Services-

Hijama
Hijama comes from the arabic word 'hajm' and means sucking. It is a holistic system of preventative and curative medicine, using the cupping vacuum method to promote and maintain a healthy, balanced mind and body.
Hijama can be used in a preventative measure or as a remedy. It is therapeutic in nature.
It can aid a huge amount of ailments, stomach problems, headaches,pins and needles in extremities, sciatica, stiff shoulders, help with stopping smoking, infertility, it removes the toxic blood and it refreshes the blood while boosting immunity and detoxing the body. In saying this it is also important to remember that all healing and cure is dependent on a variety of factors and you may be asked to address several lifestyle factors if your treatment plan.

Within a typical hijama treatment several methods of cupping may be utilised such as -

*Dry Cupping - Cups are placed on specific parts of the body in accordance to what ailment is being treated. A vacuum appliance or fire cupping will then be used to create a sucking feeling where your skin will be raised slightly into the cup. This creates better blood flow, muscular release and other positive benefits for the body.

*Sliding cupping - The method is similar to dry cupping but oil is placed onto the body. Cups are then placed on the body and a sliding method is used to ease muscular pain, help stimulate dull or stagnant areas in the body. It is an alternate to general massage and can be light in pressure to deep tissue.

*Incision Cupping - Areas where the cups will be placed are sterilised and then Cups are placed on the body and suction is then used to address specific health concerns or aches and pains. The cups are then removed where the therapist then uses a surgical blade to make small incisions in the skin where the cup was placed. The cup is then placed back onto the body where the suction from the cup will cause any toxic or stagnant blood to come to the surface and release through the tiny scratches.

*Herbal cupping - Similar method to dry cupping but water or herbs may be used to stimulate areas or clear congestion.

Each of these methods of cupping are used for different ailments and are dependent on a variety of factors such as age, frailty, medical history and health concern.

In the Islamic tradition hijaama is said to cure every disease but death and is one of the best remedies along with the black seed and honey - as narrated in various hadeeth.

Therefore it is our aim at Hijama Health to utilise this highly beneficial Sunnah by using all three methods in treating the body.


Essential Oils
We are also Essential oil consultants and incorporate essential oils into a treatment when necessary. The oils may aid in helping calm and balance moods, cleanse the body or address specific medical issues.

We use pure essential oils, organic cold pressed black seed oil and honey for treatments, provide sterile equipment and a private environment.


doTERRA Aromatouch Technique
It is a new clinical approach to essential oil application created by wellness advocate and chiropractic physician David Hill. Specific Thereputic Grade Essential Oils are used in a methodical fashion on the back using light brushing strokes. some of the benefits of Aroma touch is:
