Henbury Op Shop - 'Opportunity Knocks'

Opportunity Knocks - Henbury Op Shop, is located on Aralia Street in Nightcliff, next door to Lifesaving NT and the Aralia St shops (in the old service station). The shop is run entirely by Henbury School staff and students and a small group of dedicated volunteers.

The idea of an Opportunity Shop came about when we saw a great need for a secure workplace for students who require the opportunity to successfully transition into a work environment. We are very excited with this project, as it has such benefit for our students across a broad spectrum of disabilities and a chance for our students to give back and contribute to their community. The op shop provides real life experiences for our students. They learn a variety of communication and work skills that can be transferred to their everyday lives and support them in their transition from school.

All profits made from donations and purchases go directly into the running of the shop and the training of our students.
