HEMA'S DAY CARE

Hello, I am Hema, a self-employed childcare educator providing quality daycare services from my residence in Leda. It has been over 4 years since I have opened my service and I have gained much knowledge along the way from the many kids I have taken care of. I believe that a family daycare is very beneficial for a child's growing well-being. Anthropologically speaking, kids learn from other kids of all ages. The younger ones learn watching the older ones, and the older ones learn responsibility and gentleness with the younger ones. Children are competent and capable, they have a natural curiosity about the world around them and are driven to learn about it. Learning is a collaboration between child, educator, parents, and the community. I also have a passion for the philosophy of ‘family away from family’ and value what a gift this can be for a child.

I hold a Senior First Aid Certificate and Asthma and Anaphylactic First Aid Certificates. I do have current Police Clearances and Working With Children Cards. I also hold a Diploma in children's services .
