The simulator is a two-seat, side-by-side cockpit with dual controls providing hands-on instruction for all flight manoeuvres, including hovering. A complete instrument panel is provided for visual and instrument training and the 280º visual "out the window" display system offers the most immersive flight environment of any Flight Training Device (FTD). Over 25,000 airports and all navigation aids are available.

The extreme realism of the simulator allows pilots to not just maintain but enhance their proficiency without having to pay for expensive helicopter flight time. All switches and controls are hard-mounted and replicate the size, shape, colour and location of those in the real aircraft. The advanced software provides an accurate flight-model including translational lift, ground effect, torque, auto-rotation, etc. Flight models match the V numbers in the pilot's operating handbook (POH) for each aircraft. The simulator is approved by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) in Australia and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the US and can be configured to replicate nine different helicopters.
