Heatleys Safety & Industrial has built its success on providing quality products, competitive pricing and a commitment to high level of customer service.

The company was established in August 1987 as a distributor of foam sealants and pressure sensitive tapes to the Western Australian market out of a 100 square metre warehouse staffed by just two people. Heatleys has worked long and hard to continually achieve excellent growth while maintaining an outstanding level of customer focus and satisfaction.

Rapid growth over the following years was assisted by the addition of new building sealants and industrial products, further enhancing our range and customer base.

In April 1990, Heatleys moved to larger 800 square metres premises with a staff of seven. Then, by 1994 further expansion was required and an adjoining property was acquired, extending warehouse capacity by almost double, to 1500 square metres. By now staff numbers had also climbed to 18 motivated individuals with one goal in mind, to provide the best possible service to the Western Australia market.

Then we really put our roots down with the purchase of our current head office premises in Canning Vale Western Australia in 1996. At this time, warehouse capacity and staff numbers again grew significantly with the establishment of a new branch in South Australia.

September 2003, Heatleys purchased BME Industrial Products in Bunbury Western Australia in a push to service the South Western region of the state. Ten months later the branch was relocated 500 metres down the road into a purpose built 1600 square metre premises. It proved to be the start of a period of rapid expansion and strategic acquisitions.

February 2005 Heatleys Kalgoorlie opened adding to our mining focus, an area of rapid growth Total Trade Supplies in Wingfield South Australia is acquired in October 2005, adding another 27 staff in the process Then in June 2006 Kalgoorlie Mining Works was purchased with branches in Kalgoorlie and Malaga in Western Australia As a result of this corporate expansion, the Heatley Group currently employs over 180 enthusiastic and committed staff.

In order to meet the needs of our valuable customer base, Heatleys have recognised that particular customers have specific needs. This may come in the form of safety products, workwear, mechanical services, fasteners, adhesive tapes, silicone sealants, welding products and so on. As a result, we have based our business model on "separate business within business". That is to say Heatleys have representation in the form of Product Specialists in specific fields to further help customers on a more technical level.

To meet this commitment, Heatleys employs dedicated product specialists in Materials Handling, Fasteners, Safety & PPE, Workwear, Glazing & Fabrication, Packaging & Tapes. In sales Heatleys have 18 account managers across all branches.

Heatleys' current branch network includes four metro branches in WA located in Bassendean and Canning Vale in addition to two regional branches in Bunbury and Kalgoorlie. Also have one branch in Wingfield South Australia.
