Heart in Hand yoga and Hawaiian massage

The philosophy of Pachamama House Yoga is that everyone, regardless of their socio-economic status, should have access to the valuable and life-enhancing tools that a regular yoga practice has to offer. It is said that the teachings themselves are so valuable that no amount of money could buy them. However, an open heart and an open mind, as well as devotion to a regular practice, will bestow on anyone, pauper or prince, the riches of their own soul.

1. Classes offered at Pachamama House are not "by donation". They are free of charge.
The regular classes offered here are made possible because a teacher is willing to volunteer their time and experience to lead the class and to share the philosophy and techniques that they themselves have learned.
When you finish your practice at Pachamama, you are encouraged to practice Dana (generosity). If you feel like you have gained benefit from your session, then you can leave a donation of an amount according to your means, so that others can also receive these benefits in future sessions and that the classes can continue to be offered free of charge.
As you practice at Pachamama, allow yourself to feel gratitude for the fact that people who came before you practiced Dana, so that today you could come to class free of charge.

2. Classes offered at Pachamama House are given to the participants directly, without being scripted or regulated by studio or marking demands.
Diversity of bodies, minds, and spirits/beliefs, is what makes us, as a community, strong. And so diversity is honoured here at Pachamama House.
The instructor will speak with you about your needs, goals, and particularities of your body and the instruction will reflect the mosaic needs of the group.

3. Classes offered at Pachamama House benefit environmentally concerned groups.
The owners of the building do not charge "rent". Rather, a portion of all donations that come in to Pachamama House Yoga go to support environmental organizations.
The word, Pachamama, translates to Mother Earth. We owe everything to her.
