Our classes are aimed at total fitness and we do this by combining all of the key elements recommended by Australian government guidelines for older adults. In addition, there are unique fitness aspects woven into our classes that have been designed by a clinical psychologist to boost some of the mental capacities that can decline after the age of 40. Our classes include cardiovascular exercise (for heart, lung and brain health), resistance exercise (for strength), as well as, flexibility, agility and co-ordination training. A particular emphasis in our classes is balance training.
New participants are welcome at any time and it does not matter how long it has been since you last exercised because the classes are designed to allow people to participate at a level that is comfortable for them. We also have a special class for people with chronic conditions and this class is largely conducted sitting down.
