Hayes & Co Pty Ltd was established in 2003. Director and Manager, Peter Hayes, is a 4th generation cattleman and livestock auctioneer, with his great grandfather commencing business in the local area in 1902. Peter has extensive knowledge of the livestock industry with years of experience in his trade. Silverdale Saleyards are a Livestock Agricultural Centre, the only saleyards in SE Qld that is NSQA accredited. The site has holding yards plus dipping & clearing facilities. This allows animal entry into tick free zones. Weekly prime cattle sales are held at Silverdale, fortnightly store sales are held at either Silverdale or the Boonah saleyard and fortnightly calf sales are held in Beaudesert. Paddock sales are a large part of our business with vendors and buyers coming from far afield to trade their cattle. Silverdale hosts the annual Silverdale Show & Sale in March. This Show and Sale has gained a reputation for its high standard of beasts. Various breed infused sales are also held throughout the year. An all breeds Horse Sale is held each year in August. Hayes and Co Pty Ltd also conduct clearing sales on request and multi-vendor auctions are also held periodically. The Agsafe accredited merchandise shed heralds an array of products addressing the health and wellbeing of our client’s livestock from dips, drenches and vaccinations to blocks and livestock handling equipment. Ag chemicals, traditional fencing supplies and an assortment of dog, cat and bird foods are also available. Peter purchased the Nebo saleyards in 2008, where he holds monthly prime and store cattle sales, annual bull & horse sales, paddock sales, clearing & multi-vendor sales.
