Hay Huts are designed with the safety and practicality of feeding horses in mind. The Hay Hut is manufactured through a process called Roto-moulding which means there are no screws, bolts hinges holding the Hay Hut together. This provides maximum strength and stability of the Hay Huts especially from the circular mould.
Roto molding lends itself to great inherent strength in products and particularly in corners and at seams; hence the careful and precise design of the feeding windows in the Hay Huts.
The most important advantages of the Hay Hut include:
- reduction in loss of hay wastage through defecation, spreading, trampling and weather damage.
- reduce labour costs in feeding out smaller bales
- minimise pasture stress due to over-grazing
- increase the time between having to buy hay = SAVING MONEY
Some other advantages of the hay huts include:
- The 8mm thick PVC is infused with a UV stabiliser to increase the longevity of the Hay Hut
- Contain impact resistant modifiers
- Hay Huts are designed to be able to cover a 6 foot round bale.
- Weight of them allow for ease of handling (approx. 70-80kgs); lifting over round bales and rolling in the paddock
- Their shape allow easy manoeuvrability around the paddock for alternate feeding spaces between bales.
- The 4 feeding windows provide ample light and air flow for optimal grazing
- Can have pinning points (to secure it to the ground) and drop pins added at buyers request
Slow feeder hay nets, tail bags, bridle bags and some other quality equine products are also available.
