Hastings Co-op

Hastings Co-op is a thriving, community-owned co-operative with more than 8900 local shareholders.

Established in 1916 by a group of local dairy farmers, we are one of the longest serving independent co-ops in Australia.

Originally synonymous with Hastings Valley milk, cheeses and yoghurt, the co-operative is now a diverse retailer with 15 businesses across six very distinct business divisions.

This includes: two Hastings Co-op Department Stores (Wauchope and Port Macquarie); three liquor stores; two Rural Supplies and Hardware stores (Wauchope and Comboyne), Stirling Green Cafe, three IGA Supermarkets (Wauchope, Timbertown and Port Macquarie), Stirling Green Cafe, two service stations and a bulk fuel depot.

Hastings Co-op is also one of the region’s largest employers of youth, and supports hundreds of local community groups and events and countless local farmers and producers through the distribution of locally-grown products.
