Harry Barker Reserve is a cricket and hockey ground in Te Hapara, Gisborne, New Zealand which is named after the former mayor of Gisborne. The first recorded match held on the ground came in 1948 when Poverty Bay played Hawkes Bay in the 1948/49 Hawke Cup. The local council purchased the ground in 1962, prior to which it formed part of a nine-hole golf course. The ground held its first first-class match Northern Districts played Otago in the 1974/75 Plunket Shield. To date the ground has held 25 first-class matches. The first List A match played there came in the 1981/82 Shell Cup when Northern Districts played Wellington. Between the 1981/82 and 2005/05 seasons, the ground held a total of ten List A matches.A three-day tour match between a New Zealand XI and a Zimbabwean team was played at the ground January 21-23, 2012.The first hockey game at the new LJ Hooker turf was played between the Black Sticks (woman) and Argentina in March 2015
