Grass Growers of Red Cliffs

The turf farm grows varieties of lawn turf suitable to the Sunraysia district, but which also would do well in many other areas. The two main varieties are:

1. Wintergreen Couch.
* A fine to medium leaf texture turf with a mid blue/green colour.

* Suitable for heavy traffic conditions and performs well as a domestic lawn.

* It is tolerant to most herbicides and therefore is relatively easy to keep free of weeds.

* Shorter winter dormancy.

2. Kikuyu.
* Kikuyu is an ideal lawn for high traffic situations.

* It is a creeping lawn that is fast growing and repairs itself quickly.

* It is an aggressive grower and needs to be controlled around garden beds.

* It likes a sunny position, it is highly drought tolerant and easy to maintain.

* It is dormant through the winter months and it may discolour.
