Formed in 2008 as the not-for-profit industry association representing Western Australia’s grain value chain. GIWA has over 150 members from marketers, bulk handlers and accumulators, processors, input supply companies, logistics, financial and agronomic service providers, growers, plant breeders, government and university researchers.
Based in Perth, Western Australia, GIWA provides pre-competitive, industry good services (promotion, RD&E capacity building, standards, market access, varietal promotion & rationalisation, project management) to its members and the wider WA grain industry through the work of its Wheat, Barley, Oat, Pulses, Oilseeds and Skills (AGI) Councils. GIWA is a member of a range of national Australian grain industry bodies.
