Graduate Women Queensland - Sunshine Coast

We are a network of women graduates living on the Sunshine Coast who meet for friendship, networking and intellectual stimulation. We are a non-profit organisation supporting women in lifelong education through:
- Bursaries for higher learning
- Breakfast meetings with guest speakers
- Book discussion groups
- Special interest functions
- Informal social gatherings
- Hosting refugee students
- Postgraduate mentoring at USC.

Our members come from diverse cultural, social and professional backgrounds in Australia and overseas. Membership is open to all women who hold a degree or its equivalent from a university or institute of higher education in any country.

GWQ is affiliated with the Australian Federation of Graduate Women - promoting the advancement of women worldwide and their equality of opportunity through initiatives in: education, friendship and peace. AFGW is one of 78 member nations of Graduate Women International, which has consultative status with the United nations and its specialised agencies on international matters of critical importance to the protection of human rights and the status of women and girls.
