Grace Wood Design Studio

Grace Wood Design Studio creates home-wares for use in the home and large-scale textile art for use in residential, commercial and public spaces.

Grace Wood Design Studio believes in "touching the Earth lightly" and using sustainable and renewable systems throughout the design process. Through the employment of natural renewable materials and resources such as Australian wool, Australian Alpaca and Australian native recycled timber we aim to support local industry and environmentally sustainable practices. Through the use of natural dyestuffs from plants and non-toxic dyeing techniques we eschew toxic synthetic chemicals in favour of those that limit harm to humans and the environment.

Grace Wood is a designer, artist and explorer. She has a Bachelor of Design from COFA, UNSW and in 2013 completed an internship in the Netherlands with Dutch textile artist Claudy Jongstra who is now her professional mentor and coach.
