Goulburn Valley Arabian Horse Club was the brain child of Mrs Maria Bennett – Elliott, Formed in 1977 the club has participated in an array of activates inculding:
*The Victorian Division (of the AHSA. Now called VAHA) Arabian Performance Day which was held at the Kyabram and Tatura Horse Trials Grounds at the Waranga Basin. Entrants came from all over the State to take part
*Street Parades at the Bendigo Easter Parade
*The English – Western Challenge Weekends
*Dressage Days
*Instruction Days
*Endurance Rides
And the Biggest event Two “A” Class Shows weekend every October
GVAHCInc. were the first Arabian Club to hold an Arabian Horse Sale at Shepparton and also had their own Performance Team who were invited to many major events.
The Club was well know for it’s variety of Events held, it’s fairness and well covered classes etc for ALL ENTRANTS. And most of all it’s Honesty and Friendliness!
In August 2016 a new Committee was formed to Run GVAHCInc. and we are looking forward to what the future may hold for this club.
2017 will be the clubs 40th birthday and we looking to celebrate big, with the return of not only the 2 A Class shows in October to be Held at Tatura Park but an array of events that we hope to build on as we go.
