Meet Peter and Carol Bainbridge, the founders and owners of Good with Dogs.
A business with the mission to help dogs and their owners to live happily together and without conflict.
Peter has had an affinity with animals, especially with dogs, from an early age.
He attended an Agricultural High School where he studied animal behaviour. He went on throughout his adult years with Carol by his side. to train dogs in obedience to a State and National level, Chief instructor of Manly and District Kennel club in Sydney, owned his own dog obedience school in Tamworth and has worked in training and placing dogs with "Pets as Therapy".
This extensive experience has cemented Peter and Carols passion to understand dog's behaviour and how they communicate with one another through body language and energy. Peter teaches owners how to connect with their dog using this knowledge.
Peter and Carol know there is a real need to help and educate dog owners so they don't have to surrender their animals to pounds, shelters or worse - to be euthanized. Over 250,000 dogs are put down yearly in Australia. In the majority of these cases it is not the dogs fault; it is a simple lack of knowledge and awareness from the owner.
Peter and Carol have identified a need within the community to educate dog owners on how to be their dog's 'PACK LEADER'.They understand that only through leadership can you own a socially acceptable and well-behaved dog.
Peter loves a challenge and will spend as long as it takes to educate and rehabilitate dogs and their owners within their own home.
By teaching simple techniques in using their body language and energy to regain the PACK LEADER status, owners are frequently amazed at how quickly their animals learn to be obedient, sociable and calm.
The word is spreading fast about the Dog Whisperer in Tamworth and Northwestern districts.
