Determined to understand the reasons and barriers to golf for young kids, Golphin for Kids conducted extensive market research in the UK, Europe, Asia and North America to discover one major common theme – the current offering of golf clubs on the market are too heavy; destroying confidence, fun and enjoyment during the introductory period to golf. To quote one PGA professional interviewed “the clubs swing the kids, rather than the kid swinging the club".
The solution: working with PGA professionals, kids and academia, Golphin for Kids invented a lightweight golf club with a larger sweet spot to combat this problem. Product development and testing with professionals and kids led to production and launch of the Golphin for kids (GFK) product range in the spring of 2014 in the UK, the US 2015 and Australia in May 2016.
