outer surfaces in order to expose fresh underlying surfaces thus creating a new appearance.

Historically, automotive decay was fought by washing, buffing, and waxing. Washing removes contamination that sits on the surface. Buffing removes contamination that penetrates the
surface. Waxing was used to act as a temporary outer surface in order to protect the original automotive surface.

What's the problem?
After waxing, the car will still get
contaminants. Because of entropy,
those contaminants will find their way
through the wax. Air friction is abrasive.
Rain is acidic. Every well intentioned
wash is stripping the surface.
Eventually the wax dissipates and the
surface fought so hard to protect
becomes exposed. Suddenly, the paint
starts to look “dull.”
More polishing is needed.
More paint is removed.
More wax is added.
Then it’s back to step 1....

Every wash removes protection.
Every polish removes paint.
Every wax is temporary.
Every vehicle has a finite amount of paint
or clear coat that can be polished
to remove defects and replenish gloss.

However, it is 3 times harder than the
clear coat it is protecting. After a
complete polish of the vehicle, polishing
the original outer surface will no longer
