Girgarre Community Cottage

Bringing community together in a place where ideas are fostered and grown.
At the Cottage you are able to access computers and internet services free of charge (some charges for printing, photocopying and fax services). Holds the Girgarre Library Depot. A wide range of books available with ordering facilities available if we don't have it on the shelves. Weekly Seniors group with a wide variety of activities. School holiday program for children each holidays (program varies, call the Cottage for more details). Home of the Green Thumbs Nursery. Propagation workshops and plant sales on Monday and Wednesdays 9am-12pm. Girgarre Community Car is managed by the Community Cottage. Taking Bookings for drives for people in Girgarre and the surrounding district. Primary use of this service transports people to connect them to medical appointments and services outside of the town.
Courses are available at the Cottage to suit people's needs. Including RSA, first aid, boat licences, barista, food handlers and others as community demand requires.
The Cottage is home to the Girgarre foodshare which provides food to people in need.
