Giants Softball Club Inc.

Founded in 1985 by a small group of local women (a few of whom are still involved in the club!), Giants has outlasted many other clubs in GDSA, and has outperformed many as well - in some seasons we have won premierships in every division available. Many of our players and coaches have gone on to compete at elite levels representing our district as well as our state. At this time, we even have people representing the country! Our coaches have experience and knowledge to pass on, but above all Giants are a friendly, fun club with a family atmosphere with an emphasis on good softball.

We play at Karbeethan Reserve, Angle Vale Rd, Evanston Gardens on Saturdays between October and March. We train at the same venue. Season 2015/16 will begin on October 17th, 2015.

Juniors can play from the age of 8 in the Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 age groups - boys are allowed to play in these age groups up to the age of 12 for Under 15's, and 13 for Under 17's. The Gawler Rangers Baseball Club's homeground is the same place the softball is held, so boys can easily move from softball into baseball if they wish. If your children are not yet 8, we do have tee-ball playing on Saturday mornings before the junior softball. Children can play tee-ball from the age of 4.
