Gentle Babysitting

I'm an attachment parenting mother of three children, offering to babysit for families seeking someone who understands and respects their gentle parenting choices.

By default I practice gentle settling, positive role modelling, stay connected with children who are upset and treat children with respect and dignity.

As a mother, I completely understand the anxiety of leaving a child with someone else and the daunting concerns about whether the carer will actually do as asked. When it comes to your children, I am completely dedicated to doing as you do. I am also calm and focussed in crisis situations, have plenty of common sense and a mature attitude.

If you have an event to attend, I am happy to babysit on location to assist with easy access to breastfeeding, and am competent preparing expressed breast milk. I'm also comfortable using cloth nappies and several styles of baby carrier.

I have personal experience with sensory processing disorder and highly sensitive children, diet restrictions and anaphalactic allergies.

I have a good understanding of Attachment Parenting, Natural Parenting, RIE, Hand In Hand and Gender Neutral Parenting. Also Steiner and Montessori education.

Based in Frankston, I am happy to service any suburbs located close to Penninula link or Nepean Hwy in both directions. I am personally comfortable caring for up to 3 preschool aged siblings at a time. I will arrive on time in a roadworthy car fitted with two forward facing 0-4 car seats and have an unblemished driving record.
