Gembrook Retreat

Gembrook Retreat is a 22-acre trust property founded in 2000, which is establishing itself as a dwelling for spiritual renewal and retreat.

The Retreat is maintained by the residents of the Black Cockatoo House of Welcome, which follows Christian traditions. There is also a wider volunteer community governed by the values of hospitality, simplicity, community and care for the land.

We welcome individuals, couples, families and small groups to run self-directed and self-catered retreats. You may retreat in silence and/or interact with the residents at particular times.

Accommodation is in a self-contained caravan or hut.

Whether you come for an afternoon or for a few weeks, it is our wish that you will experience the abundance that this land and its community has to share.

The hut is an old rustic one room dwelling consists of a cosy living area, with a set of bunks and a double bed. There is also an open fire place with cast iron cooking utensils.

This medium size caravan is close to the main house, and has a bed up one end, and a table at the other. It is ideal for individuals or couples.
