GBID

Gosford Business Improvement District is an independent not for profit organisation, funded through the special improvement levy, imposed by the Central Coast Council on commercial premises in the Gosford CBD. These funds are used for a range of projects and services with the aim to make Gosford a safer, cleaner, commercially vibrant and attractive city.

GBID was established in 2008 after extensive consultation with the business community. A special levy is collected from commercial property owners and funds GBID activities. The organisation has been forming partnerships within the community, business and Government sectors to maximize on opportunities for the revitalization of the Gosford City Centre.

GBID now has a permanent home, being the tenant of the Gosford Visitor information Centre, 200 Mann Street Gosford and shares space with Central Coast Tourism and the Gosford Chamber of Commerce in a display of this strong partnership.

GBID's core role is to improve Gosford City through events, festivals, city beautification works, ensuring adequate security and encourages business retention and new businesses to fill vacant premises. GBID encourages strong support from the retailers of Gosford, Central Coast Council, Gosford Chamber of Commerce and feedback from the local community.
