We are a not-for-profit community owned and operated group that began in early 2014. We service Holroyd NSW community members and those that work in the Holroyd area.
We started as a group of concerned women worried about the content of readily available grocery items, and how they are affecting our health.
There are other environmental issues such as buying perishable produce out of season, from faraway places and no longer being connected to where our food supply is coming from.
Our goal is to connect local farmers with local consumers, by putting us back in control of where we source our products and supporting those that provide us with nourishment. By doing this we are reducing costs of travel, time and money for all members.
Through the promotion of healthy lifestyles and creating a resilient community, we aim to encourage local consumption with minimal pesticide use, better environmental practices and minimal packaging.
The Network is run by a voluntary committee of elected members that meets bi-monthly. All members are welcome to attend.
