More about Fruit Salad Trees

The Fruit Salad Tree was developed in 1990 by the West Family from New South Wales, Australia. It bears up to 6 DIFFERENT FRUITS of the same "family" ALL growing on the one tree. All fruits retain their own individuality such as size, flavour, appearance and have staggered ripening times.

Perfect for the small backyard where you can have an orchard of fruit on the one tree!
For those who have no garden, our trees can be grown in pots on balconies, patios and rooftop gardens.

Climate
There are trees available to suit different climatic conditions, whether cool, warm, tropical or subtropical. When thinking about whether or not a tree is suitable for your climate, it's not so important the high temperatures of the spring/summer months, but more the temperature and length of time for the winter dormancy temperatures. We wouldn't put a 'cold climate variety' tree into a warm climate, as they would require the longer dormancy time in winter. We will only send out trees that are suitable for your climate, based on your shipping address.

Stone fruit Varieties
Plums (blood and yellow flesh), Apricots, Peaches (yellow and white flesh), Nectarines (yellow and white flesh) & Peachcot

Citrus Varieties
Oranges (summer and winter), Lemons, Mandarin, Grapefruit, Pomelo (sweet like a mandarin, lovely fruit that kids love, easy peel, yellow skin, little bigger than orange), Lime and Tangelo (a cross between an orange and a grapefruit, much more juicy than an orange but a little more 'tart' than an orange).

Multi-Apple Varieties
We graft varieties that are suited to both warm, temperate and cold climates; red, yellow or green skin apples-crunchy juicy and full of flavour.

Care Instructions
The trees come with an easy-to-read "Care Leaflet" that explains how to look after the tree, planting out, fertilising, watering, pruning etc. The trees have two main special care requirements which need to be adhered to achieve results.

We do not have any other distributors however, we ship the trees throughout Australia using Australia Parcel Post.
