Frog and Swallow Cafe

Born out of the success of Frog and Swallow Gourmet Preserves which was launched in July 2012. Since then, it has grown exponentially. Frog and Swallow Cafe is a natural progression from this. We have moved our preserve production to our new Cafe. You will be able to purchase our products from the Cafe, but most importantly you will be able to taste them first as we highlight our products in our menu.

My food philosophy is very simple; prepare, cook, eat, and preserve produce when it is in its season. You can be guaranteed the freshest and best quality by doing this. Also I’m an unashamed locavore! The Darling Downs region has some of the most sustainable farming practices around. They tend their produce like old mates, are funny and quirky and produce damn good fruit and veg. I want to know where my food is coming from, and how it’s grown. As I’ve gotten a little older, it has become more of a choice and I’m glad of it.

If I had to explain why I’m passionate about bringing my customers, family and friends my goods, food and coffee, I think the tradition of food preservation is so relevant in our often chaotic modern world and it has the potential to reconnect us with the beauty and natural cycles that sustain us.
