French Island Olives

French Island is a place of peace, tranquillity and self-sufficiency nestled in Westernport Bay off the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. The only olive grove on French Island, we planted in the autumn of 2000 on a gentle north facing slope on the southern coast of French Island. We selected varieties based on their ability to tolerate coastal conditions as well as their ability to produce good oil. Our grove has a total of 800 flourishing trees comprising Italian varieties Corregiola, Frantoio and Pendolino and the Spanish variety Manzanilla. We have been certified organic with NASAA since 2005 (Cert No 3598D). We produce organic extra virgin olive oil, table olives and olive pate. We are committed to selling locally at regional famers markets and to local organic retailers.
