Our Church History ...

Somewhere in the remote eastern parts of Zimbabwe, a young boy named Ezekiel Guti who later on founded the church Forward In Faith Ministries International heard his mother talking about the Lord Jesus Christ after she had heard a man preaching about and a place called hell.
Filled with much fear, the boy began to wander and weep under the tree talking to the creator whom he knew was there but did not know how to reach him. One day he met a simple man who explained clearly to him the way of salvation. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and was eventually baptised in the Holy Spirit.
Ten years later, Ezekiel felt the call of God to preach the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ to the people. The Lord subsequently revealed to him in many ways. He started with a few people which increased to eighty (80) churches with a membership of 43 000 born again Christians, the mother church being High-Field revival Centre where he pastored for 15 years. Many miracles happened in this church and the fame drove many from distances afar to seek the Lord and his healing power.
Today Forward In Faith has reached over 110 nations all over the world with the saving gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The church has over 5000 Pastors who serve God in this great church.”This is the Lord’s doing and it is marvellous in our sight.” (Matthew 21.42).

Statement of Faith

We preach a Christ centred Gospel, followed by signs and wonders.
Triune: We believe in the triune God; God the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit

The Bible: We believe in both the Old Testament and the New Testament and that all Scriptures in the Holy Bible are the divinely inspired Word of God.

Salvation: All have sinned and are in need of salvation which God provided through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Salvation comes by conversion (repentance). We emphasize that man must be born again by the word of God. (1 Peter 1:23).

Holy Spirit: A believer must be filled with the Holy Spirit and the evidence is speaking in tongues. The true Holy Spirit bears fruit. (Galatians 5:22, 2 Cor. 3:17)
Healing: Healing has been provided by Jesus Christ for every believer. We believe in the laying on of hands upon the sick. James 5:14 says when anyone is sick, call the elders of the church.

Resurrection: There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust
Christ's Return: The return of Jesus Christ will be in person, will be visible, and will be soon.

Baptism: We believe in the baptism of water by immersion (John 3:23. Acts 8:38. Matthew 28:18-20).

Communion: We observe of the Lord's supper (Holy Communion) as commanded by Jesus. (Matt 26:26-30. 1 Cor. 11: 23-25).

Power: We emphasize the work of the Holy Spirit because He gives us power to become His witnesses. (Acts 1:8).

Holiness: People must be holy in their manner of life, as Jesus comes in our hearts when we receive Him. (1 Peter 1:16)
Faith: Faith in God purifies our hearts. (Acts15:9).

Righteousness: Jesus is our justification. (Romans 4:25). Jesus is the righteousness of God. (1 Cor. 5:21).

Charms: If a person has truly repented, they must bring all their charms to be burned. (Acts 19:18-19).

In Problems: When a person is in problems they must inquire from God, not witchdoctors or the spirits of the dead. (Isaiah 8:19, 1 Chronicles 10:13-14); Kings 1-2 and 2 Chronicles 16:12).

Ancestral Spirits: Men must go to God through Jesus and not ancestral spirits. The Bible says it is an abomination to the Lord to consult the spirits of the dead or a necromancer. (Deuteronomy 18:10-12).
