Don't get overweighted during pregnancy

Prenatal exercises not only ease the pain which are experienced during the delivery but also help preparing your body and sole for the pregnancy, and also for the delivery and for fast recovery after the birth. Pre and postnatal workouts have beneficial effects both on mums with decreasing possibility of C-section, and on the foetus, as these workouts increase the flow of the oxygen and therefore provide better oxygen supply.

Long time ago pregnant women were urged to avoid exercise during pregnancy. Nowadays this misbelief had been disproven several times. Recent experiments with hundreds of expectant mothers showed, that mothers who have done exercises regularly during pregnancy, delivered healthier babies with stronger heart. These mothers spent less time in the delivery room (approximately a third shorter) and in the hospital after the delivery respectively. Fitness is the best way to keep your body in shape and your mood good.

Arguments and advantages

Doing pre-natal fitness mothers can achieve physical strength, which will be needed later during the pregnancy and child-birth, as it trains muscles, which are used during delivery. The related exercises also teach moms how to breath correctly during labour. Pre-natal exercises support the spine-, pelvic- and perineal muscles, and enhance the stability of tendons and joints respectively.

Prenatal fitness also mitigates the risk of depression, stress, anxiety and irritation. The spiritual problems can be caused by different issues: Changed capability of the body, gaining weight, fear of the delivery can cause spiritual problems, which can result then in depression and anxiety. Fitness can solve both issues keeping the body fit and the sole balanced.

What? Why? And when stop exercising?

Certain type of exercises during pregnancy have beneficial effects on the heart, however they also keep mothers in good shape without causing particular stress for themselves or for their baby. There are a number of activity, which are acceptable at the beginning of the pregnancy, but should be given up later, such as jogging or working out with weights. Prenatal fitness is suggested from the first trimester until delivery. It is also suggested to exercise regularly in order to achieve a good result. Ideal is 20-30 minutes exercise 3 to 4 times a week. Thumb rule is to keep your pulse below 140 bps and avoid hot weather as the body temperature affects the baby.

During my classes I focus on getting the body relaxed, acquiring the right breath techniques, correcting the posture and strengthening the muscles, joints which are used extensively during pregnancy, labour and delivery and making the necessary tendons as elastic as needed.
