What is Finding Words?

Finding Words offers creative writing courses and workshops in historic venues, embracing the idea that creativity thrives in beautiful places. The six-week courses cover the basic elements of creative writing, while the workshops are held over a full day, featuring different writing themes. The courses are held on Fridays and the workshops on Saturdays.

Want to write, but don’t know how to get started? Let Finding Words steer you in the right direction with published author and former journalist, Pearl Wilson. She has been teaching creative writing on the Bellarine Peninsula for two years and started Mid-Winter Words, a writers weekend featuring author appearances and writing workshops. The weekend is a successful annual fundraising event for the Portarlington Neigbourhood House. Pearl regularly travels to France where she writes in the heart of Paris and has two novels and a children’s manuscript in development. She is a member of Writers Victoria, Geelong Writers Inc and Port Writers, often contributing short stories to its writing blog.
