Farmstay Accommodation on the Great Alpine Road, Ovens Valley, Victoria

Our cottages are located in the Ovens Valley in North East Victoria - a part of the Legends, Wine & High Country. It provides easy access to many popular regions such as Bright, King Valley, Beechworth, Mt Buffalo and the Victorian ski fields.

Once an area renowned for gold, cattleman and bushrangers, it is now a popular destination for young & old who come to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The range of activities available will almost certainly cater for everyone with snow skiing, bush walking, cycling and an abundance of wineries, quality cafes and restaurants. In fact the Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail runs through the property for those who wish to cycle or walk around the area.

The cottages are located on an old tobacco farm established in the 1900s. Historically it was built to house the workers & their families who lived on the farm, as was customary for the many Italian tobacco farmers at the time. The tobacco kilns remain at the front of the property as a reminder of an industry that is an integral part of the agricultural history of the region.

Each cottage has a private aspect at the rear of the main block facing onto a setting of eucalypts and bush land that spreads up the hillside behind. It will comfortably sleep 4-5; however additonal beds can be made available for extra guests. With fully self contained services including Weber BBQs, heating and cooling, we hope that you find the facilities provided suitable to make your stay enjoyable.
