Fake Chow

Operated by Aaron Cashion and Dylan Gear from October 2011, Fake Chow started as a stupid conversation in one of Geelong’s last dignified venues of the time. A last stand against the boring and monotonous regimes of the nightclub powerbrokers in our town with a dedication to bringing people out to listen to some tunes, instead of aiming to get them shitfaced and score a root they won’t remember.

Picking up steam and refining the sound of the night through the first year saw Fake Chow get some new hands on deck in the form of Eli Cashion and Luke Donald and in October 2012 we marked the first birthday with help from Monkey Safari. In it’s second year the Chow remains focussed on Deep House, Techno and House and continues to scout new talent and headliners to provide slices of the underground to the masses.

Inspired by Berlin nightlife and hosted in the basement of the Art Deco and Heritage listed T & G Building – Fake Chow is a place where judging by race, colour or creed is long gone. A place where only music matters and you can be yourself.
