Faery Hollow

Once upon a time when I was a little girl I used to find fairies but not just fairies, little people, wizards.. these are memories created by my parents and late grandmother. Although we laugh a little now at those now they are memories I will keep with me forever, memories of magic and wonder of treasures hidden in fairy houses, wizards who lived in trees and little people who watched us from the cover of tree's.

Our world has changed since then - we seem to be losing our ability to be kind to each other and make happiness.

So lets create memories.

My working background is based around children and let me assure you if you ask a little girl if she believes in fairies she will proudly tell you she does. I've seen the faces of children light up at the magic of fairies visiting their playground garden while they slept - walking into day care of a morning after fairies had been partying in the entrance way and leaving behind trails of their prescense.

When I left childcare and became a mum without even second guessing it I already knew I planned to give my child the same memories. There's already a fairy door in our home.

I imagine that pirates might sneak in at night and leave a treausre chest; it's also likely the same wizard who lives in the trees behind my parents house will visit our garden at night and although my children will grow up and join the world of "adulting" they will still remember the time of amazement, excitement and wonder.

When the only fairy shop I knew of (and of course had visited) closed - it made me quite sad. I couldn't take my son in to make fairy wishes or let him wander around searching for a gnome or pirate.

So while outside just recently thinking about all this I heard a distinct little giggle and I discovered a fairy in my garden- I cant say I was shocked because we all know fairies exist but she was very adamant that she can help me with my new venture, she's brought some of her friends too (including a mischievous witch named Doreen) and together we are bringing to you Faery Hollow.

We are bringing you the tools you need to create memories with your children - and yourselves. We are focusing on handmade treasures but we will have other items sourced from quality businsses to help us create a fairy shop dedicated to all the children who deserve to feel the magic that I did! But don't worry - we realise there's many adults amoungt us who also believe so we will have some treats for you too. Pirates, wizards, pixies and gnomes will also be available.

Faery Hollow will be available online only for the time being - we hope to visit markets very soon and one day it would be magical if we could open a little shop in the near future.
