More about Eye5 Optometrists

We care about helping people to see better than they ever have before.

Eye5 isn't your ordinary optometry practice. We specialise in looking after people who have very precise and unique visual requirements (think pilots, those in the police force or defence force, surgeons, elite sports people etc.)

We also specialise in helping children with learning difficulties to see better.

Why should you entrust Eye5 with your eyes?

- We're a locally owned and operated practice and offer personalised service to each individual. This means customers not only interact with our employees, but with the owners of the business too.

- Customers will always see the same optometrist each visit and will be treated as an individual, rather than another customer in a franchise store.

- Eye5 has three amazing optometrists who have helped thousands of people to see better:

Andrew Godfrey has special interest in caring for patients with complicated eye conditions, particularly those with corneal conditions and cataracts. He is an expert in contact lens fitting for people who have Keratoconus or corneal grafts. Andrew introduced hybrid contact lenses to Western Australia to help people who find RGP or hard contact lenses uncomfortable.

Dr. Jean-Pierre Guillon has a special interest in helping children with learning difficulties to see better. He also helps adults who have only recently been diagnosed with learning difficulties to improve their visual coordination and understand why they have had trouble for so many years. Jean-Pierre’s strong research background means that the solutions he offers are proven to work.

Natalie Guillon moved to Geelong, Victoria, to study the Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Optometry course at Deakin University. During her studies she undertook placement at the Australian College of Optometry (ACO) in Melbourne, and spent the final 6 months of her course working at Eye5 Optometrists in Perth, being mentored by specialists in complicated contact lens fitting and vision-related learning difficulties.

In addition to working at Eye5 Optometrists, she also works alongside a number of ophthalmologists at the Perth Lions Eye Institute, which compliments her optometry work at Eye5 by expanding her scope of skills, experience and knowledge. She is passionate about looking after her patients and their needs. She has a special interest in contact lenses, but is motivated to become accomplished in all areas relevant to optometry.

- We have invested in the latest and most advanced eye care technology including a fully automatic vision tester, so that we can take the guess work out of your new prescription.

- We offer direct private health fund claiming from funds such as HBF, HIF and Medibank Private and many more with HICAPS.
