Esk Kennels - Jack Russell Terriers and English Pointers

Esk Jack Russell Terrier Kennel was established in 1984 in Evandale Tasmania and is one of the longest remaining active breeders of Jack Russell Terriers with The Jack Russell Terrier Club of Australia.
Esk Kennel strives to breed an active jack Russell as close as possible to the breed standard. Most of our dogs are pets first and used for hunting, showing and if the opportunity arises to participate in lure racing. Dogs are breed with families in mind and all puppies are extensively handed by children.
Litters are dependant on number of bitches at breeding age, suitable male suitors and if other litters are due/hunting season. Generally there are only a couple of litters bred per year.
Most of the dogs are used for hunting, frequent trips are undertaken to 'the big island' to try the dogs out on foxes (above & below ground). Generally most hunting is done to flush wallaby in the thick Tasmanian bush.
