Equine Recovery

Equine Recovery is a post-operative and injury rehabilitation facility, offering specialised affordable care in a small boutique setting. Equine Recovery is located at Riddells Creek in the Macedon Ranges, 10 minutes north of Sunbury and 45 minutes north/west of the Melbourne CBD.
My facilities have been built to a high industry standard, to ensure the safety of the horses in my care. The three phase care of stabling horses and then moving them to yards and then to small paddocks after a prescribed period of time, is a prerequisite for post-operative rehabilitation and recovery from injuries and illness. Therefore safe facilities that provide for this, are extremely important. My property is in a very quiet location and I have found that horses are very calm and relaxed in the surroundings. I have two sensible horses of my own that I use as companion animals, to aid in keeping horses calm and relaxed, which facilitates recovery.
I have extensive education and experience in this field, which enables me to handle and manage horses in a safe, professional manner. As a qualified, experienced, Equine Vet Nurse, I am able to administer any treatments and medications that may be required. I will be doing this under veterinary supervision.
In providing an affordable rehabilitation option, it is my hope that it will make it more feasible for you to undertake surgery if required and persevere with horses recovering from injuries. I wish to work with you to get the best result for your horse and therefore for you. I have had excellent results from my work in the past, to the point where the horses in my care have won Group races.
