More about Ed Turner Business Solutions

Business coach Ed Turner has a vision for active, hands-on mentoring that has led him to transform the lives of countless entrepreneurs not only in Australia but also across the globe.

With several of his own successful enterprises under his belt—as well as some failures that he has learned from, with the battle scars to prove it—Turner lives for giving business owners the authority and the freedom to make all of their goals come to fruition, and to enjoy themselves in the process.

Further credentials include a degree in Economics and ample, real-world experience in accounting and finance.

Below, Turner shares his vision for business coaching:

Q:What first got you interested in helping other business owners overcome obstacles and chart their own paths toward success?

I’ve been on the other side of it, seeking to establish my own companies and learning—often the hard way—just how tough it can be! When you’re the owner of a business, you’re often too close to your enterprise and your career to really see the big picture. As a business coach, my mission is to help my clients gain perspective and to see how they can move forward, to previously unimagined success.

Q:What are your objectives as a business coach and how do you seek to fulfill them?

My ultimate goal is to provide business owners with freedom—the freedom to really feel in control of their business, and therefore in control of their lives. Too often, our companies come to control and define us, but I want to help business owners climb back into the driver’s seat.

My approach to coaching is very much rooted in the fundamentals of business success—including planning, time management, financial analysis, the setting and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPI’s) and critical drivers, the implementation of strategies to rapidly increase profits, the design and implementation of effective marketing campaigns, developing systems, recruitment, and the building and development of successful teams and businesses culture.

Q:What are your credentials as a business coach?

I have developed from a banking/finance background into a self-employed business owner. My experience encompasses a range of businesses primarily based around agriculture and retail. My degree is in Economics, and I have amassed much, diverse experience in accounting and finance.

I am now committed to continuing the development of my own skill sets in the areas of entrepreneurship and peak performance, implementing these into my own businesses while also sharing them with other, success-driven business owners. I’m passionate about helping committed business owners to realign with their personal goals and establish their business as a tool for achieving them… and to have some fun in the process!

Q:What differentiates you from other business coaches?

This may come as a surprise to many, but I actually invest in coaching, and ongoing education, for myself—because no matter how much you think you know, or how successful you become, you always need someone there to give you perspective.

Plus, I’m upfront about the fact that my coaching techniques are based not just on my own successes, but on my own failures—the times when I’ve had to pick myself up off the mat. I’ve seen what works, I’ve seen what doesn’t, and I have the war wounds to prove it.

It is not common to find business coaches that continue to run their own enterprises in addition to their coaching services. I know when I was looking for help in my businesses that I was always attracted to mentors that had enjoyed success and failure in their own endeavors. Even today the mentors that I learn the most from all have one thing in common: they still own and run companies in addition to their educational/coaching/consulting operations. Businesses never stop teaching you valuable lessons, and running one is the best way to keep sharp.

Q:What can business owners expect from your coaching services?

First, they can expect to quickly develop and acquire new skills and tools that will help them make better decisions and use of their time and ultimately start bringing in more money, right off the bat. Additionally, they can expect to put into place mechanisms that will help them continue growing, and succeeding, for months and for years to come, creating businesses that run and succeed without their constant involvement. I eat my own cooking every single day by continuing to run my own businesses in the same way I coach every one of my clients.
