We are a local & family run business they started out with running their Building Inspection business from home with Sarah in the office handling the admin, accounts & publicity & Travis out on the road doing the inspections.

When you first contact East Coast Building Inspections you will be greeted by Sarah Reeves, she will ensure that the inspection process is smooth and hassle free. Sarah will do all the leg work for you. Sarah will contact the vendor to arrange access to the property promptly. Sarah will then contact you back to confirm the booking date & time.

We understand the urgency in providing building & pest reports to our clients. We can arrange to have your reports emailed through to your solicitor or conveyancer at the same time we email through your reports so everybody involved with the purchase has the relevant information required seamlessly.

East Coast Building Inspections pair an experienced Licensed Building Inspector ( Travis Reeves ) & Pest Inspector ( Paul Lee ) to develop a comprehensive property & pest inspection, both inspectors have been in their fields for over 20 years & have over 50 years experience between them, so you are getting two experienced inspectors on site together that gives you peace of mind. Our inspections generally take 2 to 4 hours for an average house going over the property with a fine tooth comb documenting the smallest defect so you know every defect when buying your property with no surprises.

Travis started his 4 year apprenticeship in 1994 and he has been in the building industry for over 22 years. Sarah & Travis are still in the industry with East Coast Carpentry working alongside clients such as Professionals, Raine & Horne, First National, Just Rentals, Roads & Maritime Services this has lead them down the track of building and pest inspections seeing firsthand what buyers and investors have fallen into. This building and maintenance experience has led them down the path of providing licensed/qualified and expert building & pest inspections.

Be careful when choosing your building inspector this is the biggest investment of your life so make sure you are not buying a lemon. There are un- licensed and un-qualified inspectors out there don’t fall into the trap of using cheap inspectors that will cost you tens of thousands in the long run.
