Dunolly Arts Hub

The Arts Hub had a total makeover over in 2016 to prepare it to be used in the community of Dunolly as a designated art space.The Hub is a designated space where the local Neighbourhood House can hold specialized arts & crafts workshops, events and community meetings, also the Hub can be used as a private exhibition space. We will also be using the space for hosting exhibitions and the local Arts Show & the Craft Show that is held yearly, plus the annual Words in Winter event. There are Mosaic classes, arts based workshops, community art workshops, Tai Chi & Kids Hub Club. The Arts Hub loves to get involved in Community Art, recently our local artists were part of the successful Imagination Station, a mixed media showcase that will be positioned in regional Goldfields Shire towns for artists to exhibit in a public space, every Christmas we host the workshops and organize the initiative called Decorate Dunolly - which gathers community members together to make Christmas decorations for the main street of Dunolly, we then utilize the local SES to help hang the decorations. We hire the Hub out for exhibitions and hope to have many more events in the future. We will be working on a community art project soon called Story Seats which is a Go Goldfields initiative with ceramicist Kerry Punten. There is lots planned for the New Year 2018, so watch this space for more news.
