Dunborne Burmese

Dunborne Burmese was established in 2002 with two goals in mind: to reconnect with one of the oldest Burmese bloodlines in Australia – AYERS Burmese Cattery originally from South Australia; and, to hobby-breed and promote the significant empathetic, loyal and physical robustness dominant in that particular line. This we have been able to accomplish through the goodwill and mentorship of Valerie Cashman of ARUORA Burmese Cattery (now retired). The bloodline Valerie established over two decades of very careful, intelligent breeding and animal husbandry carried a remanent of the AYERS in her early foundation stock. The Dunborne prefix carries the ARUORA line exclusively.

We specialise in original solid colours – sable brown, blue and lilac, (with the occasional chocolate) – which are house breed and raised to make sure our kittens are highly socialised and well mannered. This also encourages the’ rub-my-tummy’ gene to be well developed and active before our kittens come into your homes. Our kittens are held for a minimum of twelve weeks before being available for adoption. They come to you with registered pedigree, micro-chipping, de-sexing and two of three vaccinations.
