Drover’s Dog specialises in small scale livestock transport and stock handling. My services include:
- stock crate trailer transport
- mustering/catching stock
- separating stock
- assistance with husbandry, e.g. drenching, hoof trimming, tagging.
- fence repairs
I can transport your stock using my 3000kg ATM dual axle trailer. It features break-away electric drum brakes, and has 2400X1600mm floor space capable of carrying multiple large animals. The trailer has a dual sliding/drop-down gate so can be backed up to a stock yard loading ramp, or animals can be walked up the drop-down ramp. If necessary I have portable custom steel yard panels that form a small forcing yard at the back of the trailer.
Drover’s Dog is run by Steve Gaudron. Son of a beef cattle farmer, Steve grew up around cattle and horses; mustering, draughting/cutting, horse breaking/pre-training, and working on various aspects of cattle and horse husbandry such as drenching, branding, marking, de-horning, and farriery.
Steve also has experience handling a variety of other stock, particularly goats, donkeys, and sheep. He holds an Advanced Diploma of Horse Management, specialising in breaking-in/pre-training and handling of young horses.
