Driving School - Safety is The Key

Rob and Polly moved to Victoria in 2006 from north Queensland where each had a long career in separate fields - Rob had been employed by Queensland Rail as a train driver and Polly had been a primary teacher. Both were ready for a new career doing something else. They tried various fields of employment but wanted to do something together, something they could both work at, using their imagination and innovative talents to establish and improve upon. A small business would be ideal.

The combination of driving and teaching came together in the field of driving instruction when, in a discussion one day, Rob suggested to Polly that they might try their hand at that occupation. Certainly Rob had speculated for some years about entering this field, having lost friends in car accidents. The chance to make a difference by professional attention to the detail of driving, was very tempting.

With this in mind, Rob and Polly researched the need for a driving school and then, satisfied that it was a viable prospect in the region of their choice, they arranged to be trained as Driving Instructors and sought out the right vehicles. They designed the sign-writing on the Mazda Twos they bought, arranged dual control to be fitted, registered the business and here they are, at your service.

Over the past three years, Rob and Polly have encountered and enjoyed the challenge presented by hundreds of difference driver instruction experiences, each one unique and an opportunity to broaden their teaching expertise. Rob has a talent for adopting the language of the student when English is not the first language. Polly draws on her many years of teaching students, each with their own issues and talents.
