Donkey Wash

In March 2012, I was invited to do the laundry for Branch Out Cafe in Holt. The benefactor of the cafe knew of my long term love of washing my family's clothes. I was delighted to be working and called my business Donkey Wash because I am that character in Shrek.

Social Ventures Australia, through Disability ACT funding provided guidance in setting up the business and later with a website. Donkey Wash is registered and has it's own ABN and short and long term goals set out in a business plan, which include the use of environmentally friendly products and water saving devices.

I do pick ups and drop offs and am very reliable.

My plan over the next two years is to increase my business and gradullay reduce my hours at school so by the time I graduate, I have a full time job set up and working.
