The Council District encompasses a spectacular and diverse piece of the Southern Flinders Ranges; from Port Germein which hosts the historic Port Germein Jetty to Melrose the oldest town in the Flinders Ranges situated at the foothills of the impressive Mount Remarkable. The scenic Wirrabara Forest, historic town of Wilmington with Alligator Gorge only a short drive away and Booleroo Centre our service hub, all make for a truly remarkable experience.

The District Council of Mount Remarkable acknowledges that the internet as a communication tool doesn’t uphold regular business hours and we welcome your posts at any time. However, given the need to manage Council resources, reviewing, moderating and replying to posts will mainly occur during regular business hours.

It is expected that users will behave in an appropriate and respectful way and not publish any content that is considered defamatory or inappropriate but not limited to racist, sexist or sexual, threatening or abusive, harassing or bullying, offensive, obscene or contains profanity.
