Dionysus Theatre

Founded by Emma Sproule in March 2012, Dionysus Theatre is the Mornington Peninsula's newest amateur theatre company.

Named for the Greek god Dionysus, patron of Drama and the god of wine, pleasure & fertility, the company aims to provide great theatre in both comedy and drama in yearly 'festivals' (seasons) - wine will be involved but we have to hold off on the fertility orgies until we get a permit from the council.

Operating out of McClelland College's Performing Arts Centre, the company was formed around a group of friends who found they loved working together and didn't want to stop.

The premiere production is Eugene Ionesco's 'Exit the King' in October of this year.
