The Dean recreation Reserve and Tennis Courts is a facility built by the community for the community. The land was given to the community by the Ballarat Brewery in the early 1950's and the Community built the pavilion in the 1950's. in the 1970's (or 80's?), with the amalgamation of the Creswick Shire into the Hepburn Council, the Council took ownership. Now it is operated by a section 86 Committee who volunteer their time to upgrade and improve the facility so it is accessible to all members of the community. Both the Rec Reserve, pavilion and oval, and the tennis courts are available for hire for events. Or else you can go and have a hit of tennis or walk your dog whenever you like as it is public, community, space!
