More about Peak Equestrian Arts Centre

Meet our head coach
David Waller
He from a very small rural town in South East Queensland. Growing up on his parent’s property he was very fortunate to have been around horses throughout his whole life. He’s had experience across a wide range of disciplines participating at competitive levels, within Dressage and Equestrian Vaulting.
He has focused mainly on Vaulting and Coaching over the past 9 years. Travelling to Germany in 2009 he gained valuable skills in Vaulting while training alongside one of Germany’s Vaulting Clubs. On returning to Australia he continued his growth and development with support from his Vaulting Coach. It was through this support that he became one of Australia’s successful Vaulters at all completion levels within Australia, winning consistently at Regional, State and National competitions. In 2012 He was selected to be a member of the Vaulting National Elite Squad and was Australian National Champion Male Vaulter.
Along with fellow Vaulting Team members he represented Australia in the Team Vaulting Event at the World Equestrian Games in August 2014 in France.
David is a certified Level 1 Vaulting Coach and an Australian Registered Official Vaulting lunger. He regularly choreographs routines including collating and editing of music for competitions and for individual display performances. In his spare time He enjoy mentoring the future up and coming Vaulters.
He has coached numerous vaulters around Australia including his own squad of junior vaulters. He has held the Chairperson of the Queensland Vaulting committee for the past 3 yeas. As a member of the committee He has helped run very successful State, national and international events.
He has been very fortunate to have had wonderful opportunities to learn and develop skills and confidence in the equestrian field of Vaulting and now get to apply his experiences, skills and knowledge to a lifelong dream of being involved in the equestrian entertainment industry at the Australian Outback Spectacular on the Gold Coast.
He has been part of this great team of very talented people for over the past 3 years. His roles within the previous/ current production at the Australian Outback Spectacular is a Performer Coach and Vaulting Horse Trainer. He is also a “Stockman” and play various parts throughout the show.
His desire to mentor others is strong, this is why He has now formed a professional partnership with a very talented Trick Rider to share our combined knowledge, skills and abilities through offering clinics and lessons.
